The Blue Pool Fairy Day
We’re excited to announce the very first Fairy Day at The Blue Pool, taking place on Sunday 26th July 2026.
Set in the beautiful nature reserve, come and wander, believe, and be enchanted – a magical day out for adults and children.
Discover the new Trail of Enchanted Doors where the woodland is home not only to fairies, but to a host of other mythical characters. Meet real-life fairies, enjoy face painting, listen to storytelling beside the Wishing Tree, take part in interactive ceremonies and workshops and explore artisan stalls in our Magical Maker’s Market.
On the Day
Open: 9:30am–5:00pm
Parking: On-site (£2) – car sharing is encouraged
General admission: Pay on arrival- no booking needed
Adults: £9.75 | Children (5–15): £4.95 | Under 5s: Free
Workshops: Some workshops require advance booking and payment (see details below). Workshop tickets are in addition to general admission.

Event Information
- General admission includes full day entry to The Blue Pool and Fairy Day: Please pay on arrival, entry is non refundable
- Workshops: Pre-booking is required for some of the workshops, please see the Workshop section above – general admission fees also apply. Workshop spaces are limited.
- Gates open: 9:30am
- Event closes: 5:00pm
- Gates close: 5:30pm – please note all cars must be off site at this time
The Blue Pool is easily accessible by car (BH20 5AR) signposted with brown tourist information signs from the Furzebrook roundabout on the A351 main road from Wareham to Swanage. The nearest bus and train stations are located in Wareham.
On-site parking is available (£2), including 3 accessible parking spaces for Blue Badge Holders. We would encourage car sharing where possible. Our exit road has a maximum height restriction of 9ft. Please note there is no overnight parking or electric charging points.
Children up to the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal Guardian at all times.
Most of the site is accessible, including the Tearooms, terrace, and the circular Azalea Walk around The Blue Pool (main trail including The Trail of Enchanted Doors).
Some areas include steep steps and are not fully accessible, particularly lower waterside paths.
We offer:
- 50% discount for wheelchair users
- 10% discount for carers
Food and drink will be available to purchase on site.
- Seating in the Tearooms and terrace is reserved for customers purchasing food and drink
- Picnics are welcome (excluding alcohol) in designated outdoor areas. Please take all rubbish home with you
Litter bins are available outside The Tearooms for customer use.
We do not want to spoil The Blue Pool Nature Reserve with bins that attract insects, rodents and wildlife that may fall ill eating human food and packaging. Please respect the site and wildlife by taking responsibility for your own rubbish.
Toilets are available on site, including accessible facilities.
If you lose an item, please contact us on 01929 558150 or speak to a member of staff on the day.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads. Please clean up after your dog and use the dog waste bins provided.
Please contact a member of staff as soon as possible if you require medical assistance. If you call an ambulance, please make us aware so we can help direct them to you.
WiFi is available via The Blue Pool guest network.
Photography and filming may take place during the event for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in photos, please inform the member of staff.
This is an outdoor event and will take place in most weather conditions. Please dress appropriately.
