Spooky Fun For All
Join us this half-term, 24–31 October, for a spooktacular Halloween adventure at The Blue Pool in Dorset!
Explore our family-friendly haunted trail, solve the Curse of the Pumpkin King and Queen, and carve your own spooky creation in the Royal Pumpkin Patch – with none of the mess at home!
Meet mysterious entertainers, brush up on your magical skills and enjoy spooky workshops from the Dorset Wild Ones team. Fancy dress is encouraged, with terrifying face painting available too!
Open daily, 9:30am–5:00pm. No booking required.
Haunted Trail
Follow the Halloween haunted trail and explore the woodland as you uncover spooky surprises along the way. Pick up your clue sheet from the ticket office and see if you can solve the mystery of the cursed Pumpkin King and Queen. With no jump scares, it’s spooky fun that’s suitable for little monsters.

Pumpkin Carving
Release a pumpkin from the royal pumpkin patch by cracking the curse on the haunted trail, then carve it on site and leave the mess to us, or take it home to finish the fun.
Pumpkin carving can also be enjoyed without taking part in the clue challenge.
Halloween Fun
Let little ones get creative with spooky workshops delivered by the Dorset Wild Ones team, including broomstick making, creepy clay monsters, magical potions and Halloween wreaths!
Workshop tickets must be booked in advanced (general admission is also payable on the day).

Furzebrook Road, Wareham BH20 5AR
The Blue Pool is easily accessible by car, signposted with brown tourist information signs from the Furzebrook roundabout on the A351 main road from Wareham to Swanage. The nearest bus stop is located on the A351 with a short walk along our exit road to the ticket office. The closest train station is located in Wareham.
There is ample parking available on site for £2 per vehicle all day, including 3 accessible parking spaces for Blue Badge Holders. Our exit road has a maximum height restriction of 9ft.
You don’t need to pre-book, entry fees are payable on the gate on arrival. We accept card (exc. AMEX) and cash payment. Activities can be booked at the ticket gate on arrival and paid for along with your general admission.

Yes the event is family-friendly with Halloween displays and music on the haunted trail, no jumps scares.
We suggest ages 5 and over, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Tools will be provided.
Yes food and drink will be available to purchase and enjoy in our Tearooms and on the outdoor terrace. Seating is reserved for customers purchasing food, there are also plenty of spots around the nature reserve to enjoy picnics.
Fancy dress is encouraged, but please keep costumes family-friendly. As this is an outdoor woodland event, suitable footwear is recommended, particularly in wet weather.
All buildings, the Tearooms, terrace and play area are accessible to wheelchair users and are suitable for push chairs, along with the haunted trail. Some areas are accessed only via steep steps such as the lower waterside paths. We offer a 50% discount for wheelchair users and 10% discount for carers.
Yes there are toilets on site including one accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
Yes we welcome four legged friends, please keep them on a lead and clean up after them.
