We are excited to announce the unveiling of the UK’s longest suspended rope bridge, offering an exhilarating experience for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
The official opening of The Blue Pool Rope Bridge took place on Friday 24th May, and we were honoured to have Mayor Cotton, Town Crier Jacquie Hall, and Councillor Ben Wilson in attendance. It was a joyous occasion, with some of our esteemed members being among the first to walk across the bridge and soak in the breathtaking views overlooking The Blue Pool.
Spanning an impressive 50 meters, this remarkable feat of engineering promises unique panoramic views of The Blue Pool. Suspended high amidst the trees, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while traversing this stunning landscape.
“We are thrilled to present this impressive, hand-crafted bridge to our members and visitors alike,” says Matthew Jones, owner of The Furzebrook Estate. “This exciting new addition offers a fresh ‘tree top’ perspective of The Blue Pool, championing eco-tourism and sustainable outdoor recreation in the region.”
