This autumn and winter, join us for a season of magical events. From a spooktacular Halloween half-term to the festive spirit of Christmas and the dazzling Illuminate 2025 light show, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Half-term Halloween Fun: 26 October – 31 October

Get ready for a hauntingly good time this half-term! Dive into Halloween-themed activities like petrifying pumpkin carving, arts and crafts, bushcraft sessions, and a spooky trail through the eerie woodland. Warm up with marshmallow toasting and delicious hot chocolates—no pre-booking required, just arrive and enjoy the fun!

Christmas Magic at The Blue Pool: 30 November – 23 December

Experience the magic of Christmas at The Blue Pool this festive season. Nestled in the enchanting woodland of the Nature Reserve, children can follow a festive trail leading to Santa’s grotto. Meet Santa and receive a special gift before he heads back to Lapland for Christmas Eve. Early booking is recommended, as spaces are limited. Tickets can be secured on Eventbrite.

General admission is also available at the gate, come and explore the Nature Reserve in the crisp winter air. Enjoy festive drinks on the terrace, beautifully illuminated by glowing festoon lights and browse our gift shop for Christmas presents.

Illuminate 2025: A Dazzling Start to the New Year: 9 January – 23 February

Celebrate the New Year and The Blue Pool’s 90th anniversary with the stunning Illuminate 2025 event. The Nature Reserve will be transformed into a magical wonderland, featuring over 1km of professionally lit trails, a breath taking light show over the pool, and music to enjoy on the Tearoom terrace. Toast marshmallows while soaking in the atmosphere. Tickets are available on Eventbrite – this is an event you won’t want to miss.
